Dr. Kirsten Brady
Dr. Kirsten Brady is a leading specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of Dry Eye Disease, also known as Ocular Surface Disease. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon completing her education, Dr. Brady embarked on a fulfilling career in full-scope medical optometry.
Dr. Brady’s outstanding care and unwavering dedication to her patients led to her recognition as “Best of the Lakeshore.” During this time, she observed the rapid advancements in the treatment options and outcomes for Dry Eye Disease. This pivotal moment ignited her passion for treating this widespread, chronic condition. Dr. Brady has pursued additional training for the treatment and management of the ocular surface; including in-office procedures for managing dry eye beyond traditional pharmaceuticals.
After careful consideration and with a heavy heart, Dr. Dirk Schrotenboer decided to transition ownership of the practice to Dr. Kirsten Brady in November 2023. The decision was influenced by health and family reasons that necessitated the change. Dr. Brady will continue to care for existing patients, as well as accept new patients.

Dr. Schrotenboer is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist known for his commitment to delivering exceptional eye care to the West Michigan communities. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry and has since devoted himself to staying at the forefront of advancements in eye care. After providing primary eyecare services in Holland for over 40 years, Dr. Schrotenboer decided to open Dry Eye Spa of West Michigan in 2021, a specialty practice dedicated solely to treating Dry Eye Disease. With a passion for providing lasting relief to his patients, Dr. Schrotenboer has garnered a reputation for his expertise in diagnosing and treating the causes, not just the symptoms. Dr. Schrotenboer’s warm demeanor and genuine care for his patients make him a trusted and respected member of the eye care professional community. He is a Life Member of the American Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association, and a former Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
